More housing developments

Bloor Homes are preparing to submit a planning application for 1,700 homes to the north of the Tewkesbury Road between Uckington and the M5.

The housing development will be called Willowbrook and will also include a new primary school, shops and community facilities. It is outside the parish but of more than passing interest to us because of the traffic situation. We have been invited to engage with the developers and will be taking the opportunity.

The land that the development will occupy was classed as “safeguarded” in the Joint Core Strategy (JCS). It is likely to be brought forward for development in the successor to the JCS, the Strategic and Local Plan (SLP). Bloor is running an online consultation exercise from 26th January until 6th March 2026. The dedicated consultation website at www.willowbrooknwc.co.uk.
